About the Author
Ava Homa is an acclaimed author whose work has been praised for its haunting imagery, evocative prose, and unflinching exploration of the human condition. Her previous novel, The Last Thing You Said, was a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the Governor General's Award for English-language fiction.
Homa was born in Tehran, Iran, and immigrated to Canada with her family when she was a young girl. She currently lives in Toronto, where she teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto.
